Another stop on the tour was at Steve McLean's in Limerick, ME. This is a full-service sno fighter facility with an extensive inventory of old trucks, plow and other equipment. Steve offered a very cordial tour of the yard and even has the elusive off-set vee plow I've been looking for. It is more commonly referred to as a 3/4 vee rather than off-set. Steve's website is http://www.s-a-mclean.com/contact.html

The following photos only show a small part of the inventory.

You can't miss the driveway with this sitting there!

Isn't the last truck on her the Orange one with a Sno Go Blower isn't that an FWD ???? Shame Shame FWD used the IH CAB UNTIL AFTER 1963 WHEN THE STARTED USING THE GENUINE JUNK DODGE CABS. Yet many FWD plow trucks used FWD's own 72" cabs with reverse sloping windshields. This was a nice cab. They called it a safety cab. If you would have looked at the drive axles and transfer case you may well have been able to determine that this truck is an FWD not an IH. There are dozens of photos on this web site with pre 1963 FWD's with the IH Cab.
Do you find this valuable?
